AGM
Date : Friday 26th May at 7.00pm
The Kent and Canterbury Club, 17 Old Dover Road, Canterbury CT1 3JB
The formal business will be followed by a talk by David Carey of the Kent Tree and Pond Partnership, who will speak about the work of the partnership. All are warmly welcomed to attend. The AGM is free, but we would appreciate donations to the Friends group, especially if you plan to stay on for the talk.
Bat Walk in Westgate Gardens
Date : Monday 29th May at 8.45pm
Walk led by Kent Bat Group in conjunction with the Friends of Westgate Parks.
Children welcome, but no dogs please.

Medieval Pageant Trail
Date : Saturday 1st July 11am to 4pm
Activities will be taking place across Canterbury. Come to Westgate Gardens to watch an exciting performance of full contact Medieval fighting as part of the annual Medieval Pageant! Invicta Knights will be demonstrating on the hour between 11am and 4pm, and in between performances will be available to chat about medieval re-enactment, their costumes and equipment. Don’t forget to get your card stamped - collect 5 stamps from attending different trail activities and you will receive a FREE giant chocolate coin from the Cathedral Shop in the Buttermarket.

Duck Race
Date : Saturday 10th September at 1.00pm
The annual charitable race down the Stour, organised by the Canterbury Rotary Club. Pay for a numbered duck for a chance to win a prize if it comes first.

Festival of the Stour
Date : Sunday 24th September
A variety of activities and events will be held to celebrate the wonderful chalk stream that flows through Canterbury. More details will be publicised nearer the time.

Education programs
Available related education programs include river and bat walks, archaeological digs, and forest school activities for children and adults.
